The UNIDOCKU33 Universal USB 3.0 HDD / SSD Docking Station allows instant access to 2.5 “or 3.5” IDE and SATA hard drives through two top-loading slots, which avoids having to mount the drives in a computer or external case or tray.

The slot-loading design keeps SATA and IDE hard drives upright within the docking station, keeping them neatly off the desk and out of the way. In the case of SATA hard drives, they can be inserted and connected directly through the designated docking station slot; The IDE drive slot is conveniently located near the 40-pin data and LP4 power connectors, making it easy to connect to the base using the included IDE data and power cables.
A single USB 3.0 connection to a host computer allows simultaneous access to IDE and SATA hard drives – a convenient solution for data migration from an IDE drive to a SATA drive or vice versa. The docking station can also be used to greatly expand a computer’s system backup and storage capacity, with support for large-capacity drives (tested with 6TB 3.5 “and 2TB drives 2.5 “).
