The 2-to-1 USB 3.0 peripheral sharing switch USB221SS allows you to share a single USB 3.0 peripheral with 2 different computer systems, avoiding the need to purchase the same newer peripherals, or having to change cables to use one or the other system .
The USB sharing switch offers speed and flexibility, with simple control buttons for switching between devices, as well as support for SuperSpeed USB bandwidth (up to 5 Gbps), ensuring fast data transfers to / from the peripheral shared. This switch is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 / 1.1 (480 Mbps, 12 Mbps, respectively), which avoids the worry that older generation equipment or peripherals will not work.
The 2-port USB switch can also be connected to a USB hub, in order to expand the number of devices that can be shared between the two connected systems. It can also be connected to a disk drive cage or docking station, as an external storage sharing solution.
