The USB 3.0 Hard Drive Enclosure with UASP, model S2510BMU33, allows you to connect a SATA III Hard Drive (HDD) or a 2.5 “SSD (Solid State Drive) through an available USB port. The Enclosure it offers optimal performance with a USB 3.0 connection, and is additionally backward compatible with USB 2.0 / 1.1 host connections.
Enhanced with UASP (USB Connected SCSI Protocol), this 2.5-inch SATA III enclosure performs up to 70% faster than conventional USB 3.0 connections, when connected to a UASP-compliant host. Because this protocol is more efficient than the traditional USB BOT (“Bulk-Only Transport”), latency is reduced, which significantly increases the data transfer speed.
With support for SATA I / II / III and large capacity drives (tested up to 1TB), this HDD cage is compatible with almost any 2.5 “SATA HDD, and offers significant increase in the storage / backup capacity of your computer.
