The Gigabit Ethernet LAN Extender Kit over Unmanaged Coaxial (2.4 km), EOC1110K includes both ends, and enables the expansion of an Ethernet network to 10/100/1000 Mbps over long distances (up to 2.4 km / 1.5 miles) while maintaining high-speed network connectivity.
The coaxial Ethernet extender allows a connection through an existing coaxial cable requiring minimal or no modification, making it the perfect solution for a wide variety of applications, for example it is capable of connecting user stations located in isolated areas and either from the same building or from another, or overcoming obstacles of infrastructure and distance (eg older architectures built with stone / concrete) where it would be impossible to install new cabling or wireless networks.
The gigabit Ethernet over coax kit helps eliminate expense by allowing both CCD or CATV video and Ethernet network data to share the same coaxial cable without interference.
