The display cable (1.8 meters) DisplayPort to active DVI, model DP2DVIMM6BS, allows you to connect a laptop or desktop computer equipped with DisplayPort directly to a DVI monitor or projector without the need for additional adapters or cables: economical solution that allows you to use a computer new with DisplayPort and a previous generation VGA projector or monitor.
For guaranteed compatibility with virtually any DisplayPort output, the active DisplayPort to DVI adapter supports multimode (DP ++) as well as single-mode DisplayPort signals. Unlike passive adapters, this ensures that the DP2DVIMM6BS adapter can be used even with graphics cards with no DP ++ multimode output signal available, such as ATI® Eyefinity cards.
In addition, since the converter cable supports video resolutions up to 1920×1200, it is possible to convert a DisplayPort video source to DVI without deteriorating the video quality.
