II-VI FTLF8532P5xxV 32G Fiber Channel SFP28 Transceivers are short-wavelength transceivers designed for use in fiber channel links up to 28.05Gb/s data rate over multimode fiber. These transceivers feature a hot-plugged SFP+ footprint and a metal enclosure for low EMI. Based on an 850nm Oxide VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) transmitter, the FTLF8532P5xxV Transceivers operate from a single 3.3V power supply and have a maximum 1.2W power consumption.
The FTLF8532P5xxV Transceivers include an enhanced digital diagnostic monitoring interface that allows real-time access to device operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, received optical power, and transceiver supply voltage. The operating and diagnostics information is monitored and reported by a Digital Diagnostics Transceiver Controller (DDTC) inside the transceiver, which is accessed through a 2-wire serial interface.
The II-VI FTLF8532P5xxV SFP28 Transceivers are compliant to IEEE802.3by, SFF-8472 Rev 12.2 and SFF-8402, and compatible with SFF-843 and applicable portions of SFF-8431 Rev. 4.1. These transceiver modules are Class 1 laser eye safety compliant per IEC 60825-1.
