The 4-Port USB Extender, model USB2004EXT2, allows you to extend USB 2.0 devices using a Cat 5 or better Ethernet cable over distances of up to 100 meters. A power adapter at the remote end provides up to 500 mA of power per port, allowing access to up to four USB 2.0 devices in remote locations, far from the host computer system.
This USB extender has data transfer capabilities of up to 480 Mbps, is Plug-and-Play installation, and is compatible with hot-swapping, as well as backward compatible with USB 1.x devices.
