Startech SATDOCK4U3RE

Standalone Duplicator Dock Station Connection Base Hard Drive 4 Bays SATA IDE eSATA USB 3.0

The USB 3.0 and eSATA 1 to 3 Hard Drive Docking Station / Duplicator, SATDOCK4U3RE allows you to duplicate / clone a SATA hard drive to up to three SATA drives at the same time as a standalone device. The duplicator can also function as a 4-bay hard drive docking station by connecting to a host computer system. Large capacity drives (tested with 3.5 “drives up to 4TB and 2.5” 1TB per bay) can be used to significantly expand the storage / backup capabilities of your computer.

With the ability to perform 1: 3 sector and HPA mirroring from a single SATA disk to three others simultaneously (at speeds up to 72 MBps), the Docking Station / Replicator helps save time and effort. As an external hard drive dock, it can be connected to the host computer via a USB 3.0 or eSATA connection and provide data transfer speeds from hard drives to the computer of up to 5 Gbps or 3Gbps, respectively.

Provides Secure and Fast Erase functions, and IDE disk support using the SAT2IDEADP (SAT2IDEADP) supplied with the product. Includes secure and fast erase functions, as well as IDE hard disk drive support, using the SAT2IDEADP, model SAT2IDEADP . This wipe feature ensures that data is purged (secure wipe), which is a requirement of government agencies and organizations, which have very strict guidelines on data deletion. Scrubbing is a highly secure method of erasing data from your storage device, compliant with the NIST 800-88 Rev. 1 standard from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) on media cleaning.

Applications
Allows you to make exact replicas from a source disk drive for a deployment of identical computer systems
Very useful for law enforcement officers and forensic technicians who need to have one or more exact copies of the original hard drive for investigative purposes
Ideal for SMB, OEM, System Integrators and Repair Technicians who require quick access to disk content or the ability to clone information for the purpose of disk / data recovery.
