The 2-Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Card, model PEXUSB3S23, lets you add two USB 3.0 ports to a PCI Express-equipped PC system. The USB card requires SATA power for functionality, and provides 900 mA of power per port to connected USB 3.0 devices (500 mA for USB 2.0), using the SATA connector on your computer’s power supply.
The USB 3.0 PCIe card complies with the USB Super Speed standard for data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps, while offering backward compatibility with USB 2.0 / 1.1 devices. For added versatility, this controller card is equipped with a standard profile bracket and includes a low profile / half height bracket that allows it to be installed in compact size computers.
