The Plugable USB 3.0 Dual 4K Docking Station (UD-6950) allows you to add dual DisplayPort monitors, and connect your peripherals, all through a single cable back to your laptop. Quickly come and go from your desk with ease. By connecting one cable to your laptop, you gain 12 extra ports of connectivity, making it easier to do more work in less time.
Power users with DisplayPort monitors: The UD-6950 is the dock you need to maximize your productivity and your workspace. Great for business uses such as email, web applications, Microsoft office, and more. Featuring a vertical design, you can easily slip this dock between your monitors and save valuable desk space. Conveniently access the front USB and audio ports for those devices you plug and unplug everyday.
Note: The UD-6950 will not charge your laptop and will need your external charger to provide power to your system. It also does not have any HDMI ports to connect to an additional monitor. You can connect to HDMI, VGA, or DVI displays with the purchase of a DisplayPort adapter.

| Monitor Compatibility | DisplayPort++ supports two high-resolution monitors up to 4K 60Hz (3840×2160 @ 60Hz) and a single 5K 60Hz monitor when connected to displays that support the desired resolution. While backwards compatible it is important to note:, • DisplayPort 1.2 monitors will support 4K 60Hz, • DisplayPort 1.1 monitors will support 4K 30Hz.
It is important to note that this dock does NOT have any HDMI ports. You can however connect to HDMI/DVI/VGA monitors with an adapter:, • Active adapters will support 4K 60Hz, • Passive Adapters will support 4K 30Hz, Conversion to Dual-Link DVI (DL-DVI) is not supported. |
| Software Compatibility | DisplayLink is a flexible and versatile technology that’s great for most users’ workflow. But there are a few scenarios where it’s not the right fit such as gaming and HDCP (copy-protected) content playback from Blu-ray / Netflix / Prime / iTunes / Hulu / etc. |
| Power and Charging | This dock does not provide power to the connected laptop or tablet—the laptop will still require a separate charger. The power button on the back of the dock is used to control the power to the docking station itself. It cannot control the power of the laptop. |

Dual DisplayPorts support two displays up to 4K@60Hz or a single 5K@60Hz display when using DisplayPort 1.2 displays and cables. Also supports popular lower resolution modes such as 3440×1440, 2560×1440, 1920×1080 (1080P) and more
- Dual DisplayPort Monitors—Please note DisplayPort and HDMI are separate standards which utilize different cables and connectors. Most PC monitors and all TVs do not have DisplayPort connections. Conversion to HDMI, Single-Link DVI, or VGA is possible via adapters (sold separately). See additional adapter model information below
- System Requirements—Universal docking station connects to modern Windows and Mac systems with USB 3.0 Type-A port or USB-C port. Requires DisplayLink Graphics driver to be installed
- Compatibility—Full support for Windows 11, 10, 8.1, and 7 and macOS 10.14+ with driver installation. Linux not supported. Not a charging dock. Docking station suggested for use with web and productivity software; not recommended for gaming, video playback or high end graphics work
